In July of 2007, Spay Pasco was formed from the vision of our Medical Director, Diana Mattox, DVM to stop pet overpopulation by spaying and neutering. A small group of volunteers, with a passion for animals, came together to create Spay Pasco. The original board of directors and officers of the corporation included Diana Mattox, president, Carol Comer, vice-president and Mary Andrews, treasurer. In January of 2010 Brenda Daniels joined our team as secretary; additional Board members include Michelle Wagner, Pam McConnell and Eleanor Dvorchak.
Our Mission is to educate and assist the citizens of Pasco County with the spaying and neutering of dogs and cats (including the homeless and stray cat population) to prevent euthanasia.
In 2014, our network of participating veterinary hospitals completed 3,548 low income and feral cat surgeries!
